Warning to Poultry: Hsus Can be Hazardous to your Health

Posted in Worm Farm Plan DIY on May 7th, 2010 by – Be the first to comment

As most of you know, at this point in time, gamefowl are among the best cared for animals out there. This does not only apply in the livestock world, or even the pet world for that matter. I strongly believe that most gamefowl receive quality care rivaling that of animal performers. The farmer’s wife who has a small flock of chickens typically will feed her birds some scratch and table scraps, and maybe a few laying pellets. The elderly man down the road that keeps a single rooster because he misses hearing the roosters crow from his childhood probably feeds his pet rooster some corn, maybe some leftover oatmeal and toast from breakfast and whatever else he decides to throw in there. Your commercial poultry farmers feed their poultry a mixture of grains that are ground up into meal and while the nutrition level is acceptable, the gizzard is not doing what it was intended to do because the food is already ground.

On the other side of the coin, gamefowl enthusiasts take painstaking efforts to custom mix a properly balanced ration. Sparing no expense we add corn, oats, pellets, barley and a hodgepodge of other grains that makes a feed mixture so complex that most of us can’t remember it, we have to carry a piece of paper with the recipe. In addition to this we also give our fowl supplements on a regular basis, whether it be a grape, a few mealworms, a peck or two of tuna, or maybe some crushed boiled egg.

A large percentage of gamefowl enthusiasts are members of the National Poultry Improvement Plan. Voluntarily submitting our fowl to tests so that we can insure that the most dreaded of diseases are not present on our farms. Many of us learn to do post mortem examinations on our fowl so that we can try to get to the bottom of it, should one pass for unexplained reasons. We treat for worms and mites diligently, and clean our pens regularly. In the hottest of weather we water multiple times per day, and in the coldest of weather we brave the weather several times a day to go outside and check our fowl.

Now, in spite of this, we have been blamed for the spread of every disease known to fowl, including Avian Influenza. Presently, if one of us were to find such a disease in our flock, it would be dealt with quickly, if not through NPIP testing, then at least through the fact that we so diligently inspect our flock daily. If we find a problem with our fowl that we don’t recognize, we quickly contact a fellow poultry man, a veterinarian, the local extension office, or maybe post on a forum.

If it were illegal to own gamefowl, all that would change. We could not participate in NPIP for obvious reasons. We could not speak with the county agent about poultry concerns, or a veterinarian for that matter. The gamefowl forums would be less used because so many would part with their fowl, and others would be afraid to admit that they owned gamefowl. In short, we would be forced to take our fowl “underground”.

We would have access to a smaller array of health care needs, such as dietary supplements and antibiotics. Gamecock specific feeds would no longer be marketed. All of this due to the diminished business due to the lower gamefowl population, and the secrecy involved.

The end result would be that gamefowl would no longer be cared for as well as they are today. This, of course, would lead to the current propaganda regarding the spreading of disease, to some extent, becoming truth.

While I don’t agree with the views of animal rights organizations regarding the illegalization of cockfighting, I can at least understand where their beliefs come from. Much of it comes from misconceptions about the sport, and while I know that these are misconceptions, to the uneducated person, they can easily sound like truth. So their lobby for the illegalization is understood by me, but not supported. They, however, don’t plan to stop there.

They have also lobbied for it to be illegal to ship gamefowl across state lines for the purpose of fighting. Again, I can understand this plan, even if I disagree with it. What I cannot understand is why some people believe that shipping any chicken is probable cause to accuse the sending and receiving parties of violating this law. If this is allowed to continue, almost all poultry breeders cease to ship fowl, in fear of trumped up charges. If this happens then the potential income of breeders drops significantly, as does his financial ability to offer his fowl the best care available. Again, I am not only referring to gamefowl here, but all fowl in general.

Of course if these organizations have their way, it will not stop at harassment of people shipping poultry, but will also include interrogation of anyone found transporting poultry in their vehicle. I am waiting for the day that I hear of a roadblock at some state line where police are checking vehicles for contraband chickens.

Another of the goals is to make it illegal to own gamefowl. Maybe they aren’t aware that gamefowl produce meat and eggs just like all other chickens. They may not lay as many eggs per year as a leghorn, but their egg production is certainly adequate. While their feed to meat conversion does not rival that of cornish rock crosses, they do produce a good quality meat. In my opinion, even if cockfighting were abolished throughout the world, gamefowl would still be the ideal breed to own. Meat and egg production are adequate, game hens make the best mothers and are quite broody, they do well on free range because they are athletic enough to escape many predators, they require less feed because they are such efficient foragers, and they are among the most beautiful of breeds known to man.

Animal rights groups want to hear none of this, though. They want gamefowl to be extinct. How can these groups say they are fighting for animal rights, if they are trying to deny gamefowl the right to exist? Of course they deny this goal, but if it is illegal to own them, they cannot survive. Even if they were all released into the wild, the majority of males would kill each other within the first few hours, additionally any man finding a wild flock of gamefowl on his land would hastily kill them, in fear of finding himself behind bars for having them on his land. This would lead to extinction.

On another note, it is their goal to have all dogs and cats spayed or neutered. I would love to hear their explanation of how they expect the species to NOT become extinct if all of them are spayed or neutered. I am guessing that their response would be that not all of them should be spayed or neutered, just most of them, and that if a certain number were left intact, they would be able to provide enough pets for everyone.

So, who will decide which people are to leave their animals intact and corner the market on pets? These people undoubtedly would be able to demand a higher price for their animals, since the supply is so low. This would lead to the breeders becoming wealthy, and only the wealthy being able to afford a pet (translated as people who can afford to make financial contributions to these animal rights group’s). Should it ever be made law that in order to keep a pet intact, a person must have some sort of license to breed dogs or cats, who would decide who gets the licenses and becomes wealthy? I am sure HSUS would be up to the challenge. But what would be the qualifications for the license to breed pets (translated as license to become wealthy)? Would HSUS members and donors be near the top of the list? Would such a situation be in violation of the Sherman Anti-Trust Act? I think it would.

What it boils down to is the almighty dollar. They lobbied for money to make cockfighting illegal but the donations didn’t come in fast enough. Their next step was to write a cockfighting fact sheet that is about as close to the truth as the story about Goldilocks and the three bears, but it pulled heart strings and donations started to flow better. Eventually they saw that they had almost attained their goals of making cockfighting illegal in every state, thus slowing the donations coming from the anti-cockfighting people, so they needed a new plan. This was to lobby for banning of interstate transport of gamecocks for fighting purposes, now that has been accomplished, so they post a $5,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of a cockfighter, just posting this reward, in the minds of some, validates that cockfighting still runs rampant and more donations are needed to fund the rewards. I wonder what their next ploy will be?

I will close this post here, while I know I have only touched the tip of the iceberg on this subject, there is far too much to cover in a single post. We must learn to cooperate, each of us must contribute to our cause, and we must mount a strong offense if we want to stop the hijacking of our culture and our heritage. I offer my plea to each and every one of you to help in this fight for the rights of our noble fowl.

These are my opinions and I am Darren U. Talissen

Omega-6 to Omega-3 Ratio – Discover The Shocking Reality That Ruins Your Health More Than You Think!

Posted in Worm Farm Plan DIY on May 2nd, 2010 by – Be the first to comment

Omega-3 fatty acids are essential for our good health and well-being, just as Omega 6 fats are. But, the Omega-6 to omega-3 ratio in the diet of the Western world has become very disproportionate. Find out what’s the proper ratio of essential fatty acids for good health and how you can safeguard yourself from serious omega-3 deficiency in this article.

Heart disease, stroke, arthritis, etc. have become common diseases in the United States. Heart diseases are among the major killer in the US and claim tens of thousands of lives each year.

Such problems did not exist a couple of decades ago. Health experts are of the view that the huge imbalance in the Omega-6 to omega-3 ratio is the prime reason of heart diseases and heart failure in the Western world.

The optimal and ideal Omega-6 to omega-3 ratio varies between 1:1 and 2:1. Whereas in reality, the average Western diet is composed of 20:1 and 30:1 Omega-6 to omega-3 ratio!

The reason for this huge imbalance and omega-3 deficiency is that the livestock farming practices have changed considerably in the past couple of years. Earlier, cattle were fed on grass, while these days they are fed on corn and grain.

While this diet fattens them up quickly and gives higher profits to meat producers, it leads to a deficiency of Omega 3′s in their meat. Similarly farm raised fish are fed on food pellets, and not on sea algae, worms, etc. which is their natural diet. This makes their flesh Omega 3 deficient. Otherwise, fatty fish caught in the wild are the best source of DHA and EPA Omega 3 fatty acids.

Besides that, Westerners used a lot of safflower oil, corn oil, peanut oil, soybean oil, etc. in their diet which are very rich sources of Omega 6, but contain negligible Omega 3 fatty acids.

This leads to a serious imbalance of Omega-6 to omega-3 ratio in their diet. Omega 6 fats give rise to inflammatory compounds which create the lot of health problems, while Omega 3 fatty acids give rise to anti-inflammatory compounds which provide relief in problems such as arthritis, heart diseases, cancer, joint health and much more.

Fish oil is among the best sources of omega-3 fatty acids. Using purified fish oil supplements that are rich in DHA and EPA is the best way to balance the Omega-6 to omega-3 ratios and reap the amazing health benefits of Omega 3 fatty acids.

Further, you can cut back on the sources of Omega 6 fats and add Omega 3 rich foods such as fish, Omega 3 rich eggs, grass fed meats, walnuts, whole grain, spinach, beans, nuts, green leafy vegetables, flaxseed oil, etc. to your diet.

Getting Heartgard Plus for Dogs – The Answer to Health

Posted in Worm Farm Plan DIY on May 1st, 2010 by – Be the first to comment

Whether your dog is a pampered pooch or if you think your dog is really healthy and strong, the fact of the matter is that every dog is at risk for getting heartworm disease, which is a potentially deadly condition. Hence, it becomes all the more necessary to safeguard your pet from attracting this fatal disease and this can be achieved by giving your pet the Heartgard plus.

The Heartgard plus tablets are much in demand in many of the dog stores since they protect and safeguard the dogs against any potential health hazard or diseases.

Many of the oral medicines which are given to pet dogs are either mixed with the dog food or are given to the pet in the form of a tonic, but Heartgard plus is available in a form which is relished by the dogs and the dogs love eating it. Heartgard plus is available in a chewable form and includes beef which is loved by most of the canines, except for some of them who are allergic to beef.

If your canine is sensitive to eating beef, then there are other regular pills available.

You could free your pet from these ghastly parasites by giving heartgard plus chewable tablets which include Ivermectin and that safeguards many of the domestic farm animals from these parasites working particularly well for dogs since they positively respond to these tablets.

The chemical Ivermectin present in the tablets helps in only fighting heartworm larvae due to its low content. Though it does not actually prevent larval heartworms from infecting your dog in the first place; the medicine prevents their proliferation so that they cannot cause any problems.

How it works – So since it will not prevent your dog from getting heartworms in the first place, what it will do, is it will destroy all of the larvae, which have infected your dog’s blood.

Tablets are given every 30 days, because the drug works to prevent larvae from living or growing, thus it is critical that the treatment be administered every month. .

As well, the reason that this is a better method to choose in combating the issue, is because Ivermectin heartworm medications only decrease in efficiency as the larvae grow.

Pyrantel is present in Heartgard plus tablets which helps in getting rid of the parasites from your canine’s body.

When it comes to de-worming and eliminating hookworms and roundworms, Heartguard plus chewable tablets are the preferred option. These medicines are ideal to wipe out both the intestinal worms as well as heartworms together.

We are noticed that our itchy cat is sensitive to fleas as a result we bringadditional chemicals on it, placing the pet over the edge further. IDuring the timeof performing this we are not only causing our dog more toxics, but ourselves and our families as well.

The question has been that we demandthe fleas to go for our pets and for our families. Althoughit’s unsensible”destroythe apartment to quitthe ants” as it were. There must bea more feasiblesolutions.

This has been my probefor the earlierfew years. My clients inquire me what we should do homeopathically to ‘beat fleas’. In my business, I helpmy clients to primitively detox the poisons out of their animals and then provide them with a tonic that they could use daily in the first instance to really make the immune system and then abandon treatment back to weekly.

The results have been wonderful Not only have the fleas packed up while removed- probably to a less healthy animal, but also problems like arthritis pain, skin health and energy levels have been improved .

In these times of intensivealertness of chemicals in our lives, we are all exploringfor a way to live without doing more contamination to ourselves, our families, our pets and our environment. Looking to anothermedicines, like homeopathy is a great place to begin.

Urinary Tract Health Cat Food – Questions And Answers

Posted in Worm Farm Plan DIY on April 27th, 2010 by – Be the first to comment

Question – Is there really such a thing as urinary tract health cat food, one that will make a difference to my cat’s health?
Answer -  It depends on how advanced the disease is, what treatment has taken place up til now, how healthy your cat was before, how old you cat is and so forth. But if you don’t try, you’ll never know.

Q – So what is the best urinary tract health cat food?
A – You can never go past raw food as the best all round, healthy cat food, for any disease.

Q – My vet tells me that raw meat has worms and parasites which will exacerbate an already ailing cat.
A – Cats have evolved on raw food over millennia. Their digestive system can deal very effectively with any worms or parasites, when they are healthy. When they are not healthy, caution needs to be taken during the change over, to ensure it doesn’t become a problem.

Q – I have heard that the best urinary tract health cat food should be a low protein diet. Surely a raw diet is high in protein?
A – Cats have evolved on a high protein diet. I don’t believe you should reduce their protein intake. What I believe is at the heart of the problem here is the modern farming methods. The artificial fertilisers that are commonly used today upset the delicate mineral balance in farm animals. Address that and the high protein then isn’t a problem.

Q – Why is it so common for cats to develop renal failure?
A – The kidneys are cats weakest link. So getting into the habit of giving your cat the best and healthiest cat food from the start will ensure optimum health and life expectancy.

Q – Is it difficult to work out what the best urinary tract health cat food should be?
A – I’ve already done it for you, so all you have to do is follow in my footsteps.

Q – Is a good urinary tract health cat food expensive?
A – When I worked out the cost of the best cat food versus the highest priced dried or processed cat food, I found they came out at about the same. And look at the additional bonuses of a healthy cat, so fewer trips to the vet!

Q – Is it time consuming to this prepare diet? I work, so have limited time.
A – Once you’ve got your head around the concept, it’s really easy. Just make the change over slowly, so you and your cat get used to it gradually. I find that’s the best way of learning something new and guarantees you’ll find it easy to stick to.

Q – What about high ash? I’ve heard that’s not a good thing in cats with ailing kidneys. Shouldn’t a good urinary tract health cat food be low in ash?
A – High ash means high mineral levels. Again, I feel that comes down to bad farming methods putting the delicate mineral balance out of whack. Cats need minerals to be healthy, but they need them in a natural, balanced form. Quality, raw food is the best source.

Q – I’m a vegetarian. It would be difficult for me to prepare raw meat.
A – I totally understand your predicament, I am too. But cats need meat, they’re true carnivores. So if you want to give your cat the best chance in life, you’re going to have to get used to handling raw meat. Or get your partner to…

Parasites ? A Serious Health Concern

Posted in Worm Farm Plan DIY on April 27th, 2010 by – Be the first to comment

Written by Chicagohealers.com practitioner Dr. Elizabeth Laskonis, ND, MH, CNC, CNHP -

What are parasites?

A parasite is an organism that lives in or on another organism, at the expense of the host organism. Parasites living inside the human body will feed off our cells, our energy, off the food we eat, even off the supplements we take. There are many varieties of parasites. They fall into several categories. Here are some common parasites: Amoebas, Arthopods, Bacterias and Nano-Bacterias, Flat Worms, Flukes, Fungi, Mildew, Molds and Slime Molds, Microzymas, Mycoplasmas, Nematodes, Pin Worms, Prions, Protozoas, Round Worms, Somatodes, Spirochetes, Tapeworms, Viruses, and Yeast. Some are only visible under a microscope. Some can be passed in the stool and be quite large. Parasites produce thousands of eggs, and have several life stages, ranging from three to twenty four.

Here is a brief description of a few of the known types of parasites:

Arthropods are six to eight legged creatures, such as lice, bedbugs, mites, ticks, and fly larvae.

Bacteria can be present in almost anything. Here are some examples: Shigella species are frequently in pasteurized milk and cause intestinal, muscle and joint problems. Salmonella species are frequently in pasteurized milk and raw eggs and poultry, and cause food poisoning.

E-Coli can also be found in foods. Staphylococcus epidermidis is very difficult to kill and causes sinus and skin infections. Streptococcus pneumoniae often causes ear, sinus, throat, and bronchial infections. Borellia burgdorferi causes Lyme’s Disease. It spends part of its cycle inside the nerve cells. There are also two different species of bacterias that are called nano-bacterias and Spirochetes.

Flukes are leaf shaped, thin worms with a bilaterally symmetrical body and hooks or cup shaped suckers. They have both male and female organs in each individual. They have a simple digestive tract and complex life cycles with two or more hosts, usually one of which is a mollusk. Some examples are: Fasiolopsis buski, Fasciola hepatica, Eurytrema pancreaticum.

Fungi is multi cellular- with long filaments/spores, that can live on the skin, under nails and inside tumors and tissues. Ringworm is a fungus of the skin. There is also mildew, molds and slime molds.

Microzymas can be formed by the body from other types of parasites, or caught from others as a microzyma. They can also morph into cysts, tumors and foreign cells.

Morgons can be caught as a morgon or can become a morgon from being morphed from other types of parasites. They can produce a threadlike fiber that can sometimes come out through the skin. There is a disease called Morgellon’s Disease, associated with this type of parasite.

Mycoplasmas are a crystalline bacterial toxin associated with the Brucella bacterium. They are sometimes found in chronic fatigue syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, Gulf War illness, AIDS, and related diseases. It can be delivered via insects, aerosol, the food chain, or caught from contact with other infected persons.

Prions are an incorrectly folded protein that are treated as a parasite because of the damage they do. They can get into the cells and cause holes in the brain. This is the leading cause of Alzheimer’s and Mad Cow diseases.

Protozoas are a single cell animal and have very complex life cycles. Some examples are:

Toxoplasma gondii, Sarcocystis species, and Giardia lamblia. There are also three other types of protozoas called Amoebas, Nematodes and Somatodes.

Viruses and Warts – Viruses can cause serious illness. Adenovirus causes the common cold. Respiratory syncytial virus causes respiratory problems. Influenza virus causes flu. There are many other types of viruses. Warts are colonies of several species of viruses.

Worms can be several types of worms, such as Flat, Pin, Round, Thread. Roundworms are elongated, cylindrical worms with well developed digestive tracts. Most species are free living but a large number of species parasitize humans, animals, and plants. In humans, there are both intestinal and tissue inhabiting species. Some species are thorny-headed worms, equipped with hooks to help attach itself to the intestinal wall. Their digestive tract is absent. Some examples are: Ascaris lumbricoides, Pinworm, Enterobius vermicularis, Strongyloides stercoralis, and Trichinella spiralis.

Tapeworms have an elongated ribbon-like body, with a specialized attachment organ called a scolex on the anterior end. They contain both male and female organs. They have no digestive tract and attach themselves to the inside of the small intestine, or other organs, and absorb nutrients directly into their bodies. Immature tapeworms invade tissues and encyst themselves there. Most require at least two hosts. Some examples are: Diphyllobothrium latum, Echinococcus granulosus, taenia solium.

Tongue Worms can be anywhere in the body, not just the tongue. They are so named for their shape like a tongue, not because they are in the tongue. They are serious and can also cause many problems. They can also morph into other types of parasites.

Yeasts are species of single cells that divide, and parasitize humans. Candida albacans is one of many species.

Other – there are also many other types of parasites that man does NOT know about. We can actually muscle test a person to see if he has “other” parasites that we can’t identify. We can then give the correct herbs to kill them.

Parasites can be transferred from one individual to another by direct contact between the host and a potential host, by cysts or eggs, which can live for some time outside the host before infecting a second host. Some are carried by an arthropod vector, which may itself be a host, if the parasite develops within it. Many have complex life cycles, requiring two or more species of hosts to complete their cycles.

Parasites can be ingested through the mouth, inhaled through the nose, or by skin contact. They can also be transmitted via body fluids. Insects and animals can also transmit them to humans.

Common sources of parasites are contaminated soil, fruits, vegetables, raw or rare meats, pets, mosquitos and flys, feces, polluted water, and contact with another person who is infected.

Factors that contribute to the growing parasite epidemic include the widespread use of drugs that suppress our immune systems. An imbalance of good to bad bacteria in the colon is also a contributing factor. Some other factors include wide use of antibiotics, eating refined carbohydrates, steroid drugs, X-rays and radiation therapy, chlorinated water, stress, low fiber diet, pollution, poor digestions and elimination, and mercury toxicity from dental fillings.

The increase in world travel by tourists, armed forces and immigrants spreads every possible parasite everywhere. The increase in synthetic toxins within the body is changing the life cycles of some species making many parasitology textbooks inadequate. Our changes in lifestyles have increased the spread of parasites all over the world. Increased use of nurseries and other child care facilities increase exposure. Increased eating in restaurants contributes to less control over parasite contamination. Increased consumption of ethnic foods exposes us to a wider variety of species. Increased world travel exposes more people to a wide variety of species for which they have no natural immunity. Increased levels of stress in modern day living lowers our immunity. Increased sexual promiscuity and homosexuality increases exposure. And certain modern medical practices increase the probability of parasitic infection by compromising the patient’s natural immune defenses. Examples are surgery, blood transfusions, incubation, and prolonged hospitalization.

Today it is apparent that 98% of all diseases are caused by parasites and/or toxins. They can affect tissue anywhere in the body. Because they can get into the blood and travel to any organ, parasites cause problems that are not often recognized as parasite-related. For example, a roundworm infestation in the stomach can give the appearance of a peptic ulcer. And chronic Giardia lamblia can be an undetected element in both candidiasis and chronic fatigue syndrome. It is not only the parasites that can cause damage to the body, but also the waste they excrete. These waste products poison the body, forcing the organs to work overtime. Processing these wastes also stresses the immune system. As the detox mechanism becomes overwhelmed, nutritional reserves are depleted and the immune system weakens, resulting in disease development.

Some symptoms caused by parasites:

These are but a few of the problems that can be associated with parasites. Most health care providers, whether allopathic or natural, tend to miss a large percentage of parasitic infestations and end up merely treating the symptoms the parasites cause. No one is immune from parasitic infection. Every living thing on earth is subject to parasites every day.

Doctors usually use a stool analysis or a blood analysis to detect parasites. However, they can be very difficult to detect since they tend to hide in various parts of the body. There are no specific tests for certain kinds of parasites. Tests are only available for 40 to 50 types of the more than thousands that can live in your body. Thus, a negative lab test is no assurance that a person does not have parasites. The most reliable test is kinesiology or muscle testing, but only if done very specifically by someone who knows how to detect them. And then there is no assurance that some may have been missed, because they like to hide. But, it is better to detect what you can and treat them, than to do nothing at all.

In treating parasites, the natural health community has come up with several steps:
1.Identify what types and species you have
2.Dissolve the cysts and tumors they create, and open the cells they are hiding in to be able to kill them.
3.Kill the parasites, with both a “zapper” and the use of herbs.
4.Clean up their toxins.
5.Rebuild the tissues.
6.Realign the energy fields to help prevent further problems.

How can you avoid parasitic infections? Since total avoidance is impossible, you can help yourself by following these instructions as well as you can:

Avoid eating raw fruit and vegetables that have not been thoroughly washed.
Avoid eating all meats that are not thoroughly cooked.
Avoid eating meats cooked in a microwave. The temperature varies from one place to another inside the food, and it does not reliably kill parasites.
Precook poultry before cooking it on a grill.
Avoid eating in restaurants as much as you can.
Don’t keep animals in your house. If you must have a pet, keep it outdoors.
Don’t let animals lick your skin or kiss you.
Keep all pets and farm animals wormed with weekly or daily doses of herbal formulations. De-wormers given by veterinarians are inadequate since the pet will get re-contaminated as soon as it goes outside.
Don’t wear other people’s clothing, especially if they have Psoriasis or eczema. Such clothing likely contains Strongyloides worm eggs, which hatch on contact with skin.
Drink only safe water and milk. (Zap it if it is not pure)
Always wash hands after going to the bathroom and before eating or food preparation.
Avoid breathing dusty or moldy air.
Make sure all household members are parasite free so you don’t keep transferring parasites to each other.
Make sure all dishes are either washed in a dishwasher or scalded with very hot water.
Keep all open food packages, including bread, in the refrigerator.
Store bread in a paper bag instead of plastic, to delay the growth of mold.
Keep your fingers away from your nose and mouth.
Use a clean dish cloth daily – cook it in the microwave before using.
When new symptoms appear, recheck for parasites. Kill them before they do extensive damage.
Lastly, but the most important of all, is to keep your immune system up to par. If your immune system is in top shape, when you do get them, your body can then get rid of them, instead of giving them a chance to dig in and cause disease for you.

If you suspect parasites may be the cause of your ailments, you should contact a Naturopathic Doctor who specializes in Parasitology. They will have the correct information and protocols to make sure that you get the best treatment options. Everyone is different, and may need a different type of recommendation for getting rid of their particular parasites. It is not enough to just go to the local health food store, buy a two week cleanse, and think that you have destroyed all the parasites you may have. Sometimes it takes weeks or months to destroy certain parasites, depending on what you have, how long you have had it, and your general health.
